Earth Island® is the manufacturing company founded to produce Follow Your Heart's® unique line of products. Only minutes away from our restaurant and cafe located in Canoga Park, California, Earth Island's production plant employs over seventy five hard-working professionals who prepare our products, oversee our state-of-the-art processing and packaging machinery, ship our products to distributors, vendors and customers, and maintain our business office.

Our plant is powered by solar energy produced with the aid of solar collectors placed upon the rooftop of our facility!
The rooftop solar energy system is comprised of 756 solar panels, each capable of generating 150 watts, for a total of 113 kW (kilowatts). In addition to shading the building from the scorching Chatsworth sun - further
reducing the need for cooling- the system is designed to supply 100% of our electrical energy needs. Earth Island may have been the first fully solar powered food plant in the United States.
As you will see from our company literature, a legacy of care has been carried for over thirty years by a committed group of people dedicated to "serve people generously, treat every person as a brother or sister, and to change the world." In keeping with our mission and values, every effort was made to maximize conservation of natural resources into the design of our facility -- including skylights, recycled carpeting, tankless hot water, energy efficient lighting systems, and environmentally friendly refrigeration. The crowning achievement of this focus however, is our solar panel array, or photovoltaic system, on the building's roof.
